Did you know it’s our 75th birthday?
2018 marks Social Health Association of Indiana, Inc.’s 75th year of success serving over 1.5 million Indiana youth with vital school-based health education programs. This is no small feat, and we’ve decided to celebrate accordingly—we’re undergoing a major transformation to better reflect who we are and where we’re going.
The start of this transformation is a new agency brand that will ultimately better align with how we will serve our community. Our Board of Directors is fully committed to long-term agency sustainability for another 75+ years and realized, to achieve fiscal stability for generations to come, a shift in the way we communicate and connect with our audiences is essential.
As of June 1, 2018, we are relaunching as LifeSmart Youth, Inc., Guiding youth to lead healthy and safe lives. This new brand aligns perfectly with our long-standing mission to “foster successful lives by empowering youth to make responsible choices and adopt healthy behaviors.”
The world needs kids who aren’t just book smart or street smart, but life smart.
LifeSmart Youth gives young people the inner resources they need to make good choices in life.
Through extensive marketing research we conducted over the past six months, it became evident that parents are feeling a deep and growing uneasiness about the world our children face. We are experiencing increasing societal unrest in America, and youth are exposed now, more than ever, to serious social issues. School safety, bullying, cyber safety, dating violence, drug and alcohol abuse, teen pregnancy, sexting, sex trafficking, stress, depression, suicide, and intense peer pressure are all major parts of our children’s daily lives.
Social Health Association’s prevention programs address all of these critical topics, educating over 25,000 youth each year. But, according to our research, hardly anyone knows it! While we strive to increase awareness of these issues within Indiana families and communities, we also strive to increase our impact as the education provider that teaches whole-life skills and social wellness, effectively guiding children to become their best selves.
In partnership with YOU, LifeSmart Youth will launch our new brand, raising awareness with kids, schools, parents, trusted adults, program partners, donors, funders, and corporate sponsors. We are so excited for this transformation, which will enable us—even more than we already have—to guide youth to lead healthy and safe lives…for generations to come.
