Doreen Fatula, BS

Education Team Coordinator

Doreen joined Social Health Association of Indiana in 1996. She teaches all SHA programs, develops curriculum, is involved in staff training, and is a peer coach for all teaching staff. Prior to joining Social Health Association, Doreen earned her bachelor of science degree in Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (HPERD), from the School of Public Health Indiana University, Bloomington.  Doreen previously worked at Bloomington Parks and Recreation as summer camp teaching staff and as Program Facilitator for Girls Incorporated of Indianapolis, providing program development and instruction for youth in community outreach centers.  Doreen also taught computer education programs at IUPUI, obtained her Certified Nurses Aid certification in 1996 providing in-home support services to adults, and has volunteered for various nonprofit organizations  that incorporate the arts in healing environments;  Story-Telling Arts at Riley Hospital, Heart-Rays Art programming/HIV support, and Robin Run “Art for Alzheimer’s”.
