Jeff Wilson, CPA, CMA, CFM, SHA Board

Jeff is the Director of Finance, Audit Services at Eli Lilly and Company. He also served as SHA’s Board President from 2015-2017 and is on the Executive and Audit and Finance Committees. Jeff and his wife have two daughters and a son and enjoy spending time at the IMA, Zoo and Children’s Museum. Working with SHA, Jeff hopes to further the SHA mission and meet the needs of every audience we serve including youth, parents, educators, administrators, and funders. Jeff also serves on the Finance Committee of the St. Jude Roman Catholic Church parish and as a member of the International Outreach Council for IU Kelley School of Business Alumni Association.

LeRoy Lewis, III, MBA, SHA Board

LeRoy is Manager of Provider Experience at Eskenazi Medical Group and SHA’s Second Vice President. He also serves as Program and Evaluation Committee incoming Chair. LeRoy is an Indianapolis native who enjoys all Indy sporting events and spending time with his wife and son. He is passionate about the work Social Health Association does because “we give young people real-world knowledge about subjects that most parents are hesitant to share. Kids need to hear the truth and we are able to assist parents in getting their children the truth.” LeRoy also serves on the boards of March of Dimes, IndyHub and Indianapolis Black Expo.

Lun Kham Pieper, JD, SHA Board

Lun is the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and Burmese Outreach Director at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. She also serves on SHA’s Board of Directors and is on the Program and Evaluation Committee. Lun is passionate about SHA’s work in the community because of our dedication to serving youth from all communities and is really excited that SHA programs teach everyone – including the often underserved immigrant populations. Lun enjoys spending time with her husband and nine-year-old son.

 

 

Abbe Shapiro, MSW, Director of Programs & Evaluation 

In 2011, Abbe earned her Master’s in Social Work, with a concentration in Organizational Leadership, from Indiana University. She gained national recognition for creating innovative programs that improved health outcomes for underserved communities in Indianapolis, and local recognition for strengthening community partnerships. Prior to joining Social Health Association, Abbe worked for the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors to create an online toolkit that assists agencies in creating HIV Linkage to Care Programs. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Health Advocacy Coalition and Circle City Derby Girls. Abbe recently was recognized at the Indiana Public Health Celebration and Hulman Awards. She received a Hulman Health Achievement Award for developing, implementing and evaluating the Indianapolis-based Linkage to Care (L2C) Program to provide systems of care for people living with HIV.

Hannah Saeger Karnei, BS, Marketing & Development Assistant

Hannah graduated from Virginia Tech in 2014 with her Bachelors in Human Development and a concentration in Human Services. She currently works as the Marketing and Development Assistant at SHA and is pursuing her Masters at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI. Prior to moving to Indianapolis to pursue graduate school, Hannah worked in digital marketing for a higher education technology firm in Northern Virginia, where she is from. Hannah has been a lifelong supporter of JDRF and enjoys volunteering in the community.

Xinyi Zhao, MA, Special Project Assistant

Xinyi recently graduated with her Masters in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI. She is originally from China and currently works as the Program Assistant at SHA. Xinyi previously worked as the SHA Graduate Development Assistant from 2015-2016 and continues to assist in research and other special projects. She is a lifelong animal lover and enjoys visiting the zoo in every new city she visits.
