Latinx Girls Matter Listening Sessions

LifeSmart Youth, Eskenazi Health, and other community partners have joined together to help lead a new city-wide effort to address the systemic health disparities experienced by African American, Black, Latinx girls, and Transgender Youth in Marion County: the TEACH (Tween Education and Access to Community Health) Initiative.

As part of this effort, we are preparing to host a series of listening sessions to gain critical input from Latinx girls and women about their healthcare experiences and needs.

Latinx Girls Matter Listening Session Information

We recognize that the experiences and opportunities of Latinx girls are uniquely different from their peers in many ways. We don’t want to guess what those different experiences are. We want to learn from you! We also know that adults often underestimate the wisdom young people have to offer and we value your voice!

LifeSmart Youth is conducting a series of Latinx Girls Matter Listening Sessions for Latinx females between the ages of 12-24. Participants will receive a $50 gift card.We are curious about your experience with accessing health care, reproductive health care, and your path to sexual health. We define sexual health as the state of physical, mental, and social well-being in relation to sexuality. Sexual health requires a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasurable and safe sexual experiences, free of coercion, discrimination, and violence.

You can create a better path for you and those that come behind you.
